Girls CC Team qualifies for State Meet

The girls cross country team competed in the Regional competition this weekend in an attempt to make it on to the state finals.  North came in 3rd claiming the final spot and will compete next weekend with the top teams in the state.   Varsity runners were:   Lauren Sickmiller Michaela Cosgrove Katelyn Carney Sydney

Girls CC – Academic All State

The Girls Cross Country team was recognized as an Academic All State Team Natalie S. and Katelyn C. individually earned Academic All state.  Congrats Girls CC!

Girls Cross Country Update

The Girls Cross Country competed in the MAC Red jamboree meet and took down 6 MAC red schools losing to only one.  North defeated Romeo, Dakota, Eisenhower, L’Anse Creuse North, Stevenson and Utica. Top runners for North were: Sarah R. Julia R. Katelyn C. Natalie S. Maddie G. Maddie D. and Keri H. The girls

Boys & Girls Cross Country

Both the boys and girls cross country team had a good showing in a home meet at Vernier Hill today defeating Warren Mott. Both team are back in action this Friday at the Golden Grizzly Invite. Some pictures of today’s event have been added to a new Gallery. Go North!    

Girls Cross Country Raises $2400 for Cancer

A big congratulations to the Girls Cross Country program who held a  Cancer Fundraiser Run / Walk and raised $2400 to donate to the American Cancer Society. Former Grosse Pointe North Athletic Director and cancer survivor Carmen Kennedy was on hand to share her story with the participants.      

Girls Cross Country Gets a Win

  The Girls Cross Country team defeated Warren Mott today at Vernier Hill 43-20. The team had a great showing with 35 Personal Records, 5 Barrier Breakers. The next race is the Algonac Invite on Saturday September 8th.
